Slovakia is mainly supported by its manufacturing industry. One quarter of all occupations in the country are in manufacturing. Their main business is cars, but they also make other electornics such as broadcasting equipment and video displays.
Slovakia's largest industry is automobiles. It is their main export and they produce more vehicles per capita than any other country. However, recently, an EU law came out stating that no more Interal Combustion Engine vehicles could be produced after 2035. This has forced Slovakia to move to Electric Vehicle production.
Another large industry for Slovakia is the tourism industry. Because of the country's natural beauty and tourist attractions, tourism naturally became a large source of income. However due to the pandemic, the tourism industry started to decline rapidly. In 2020, income from tourism delcined by 62%, and the number of actual tourists declined by 66%. Since 2022, it has started to increase again as the pandemic lessened in severity.
